Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 1, 2026

GameBeyond ("we," "us," or "our") operates gamebeyond.io and its generator tools. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to keep things simple: we collect as little as possible and we never sell your data.

1. Information We Collect

GameBeyond does not require an account, and we do not ask you to provide personal information to use any of our generators. The generators run entirely in your browser — the names you create are never sent to our servers.

We may collect the following limited information automatically:

  • Usage data such as page views, referring URL, device type, and browser — collected by our analytics provider to help us understand which tools are popular.
  • Technical data such as IP address (anonymized where possible) and approximate location, which is standard web-server logging.
  • Preferences you set on the site (for example, your last-used dragon type) stored in your browser via localStorage. This data stays on your device.

2. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for two purposes: to keep the site working correctly and to support the advertising that keeps it free.

  • Essential cookies remember simple preferences like your selected theme or last-used generator settings.
  • Advertising cookies are set by our ad partners (see below) and may be used to show ads that are more relevant to you.
  • Analytics cookies help us see, in aggregate, how visitors use the site.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time. Doing so will not break the generators, but may affect ad relevance.

3. Third-Party Services

We rely on a small number of third-party services to run GameBeyond:

  • Google AdSense — displays the ads you see on the site. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at google.com/settings/ads.
  • Google Analytics (optional) — collects anonymized usage statistics so we can improve the tools. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
  • Microsoft Clarity — collects anonymized behavioral data (page views, clicks, scrolls, session replays) to help us understand which tools are useful and how to improve them. Clarity does not capture text you type into form fields. See Microsoft's privacy statement for details.
  • Our hosting provider (e.g., Netlify) keeps standard access logs for security and troubleshooting.

Each of these providers has its own privacy practices. We recommend reviewing their policies if you'd like more detail.

4. How We Use Information

  • To operate, maintain, and improve the GameBeyond site and tools.
  • To measure which tools and content are useful, in aggregate.
  • To display advertising that keeps the site free.
  • To prevent abuse and keep the site secure.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

5. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR (EU/UK) or CCPA (California). These can include the right to:

  • Know what personal data, if any, we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of that data.
  • Object to or restrict certain kinds of processing.
  • Opt out of personalized advertising.

Because GameBeyond collects very little personal data, most requests can be handled by clearing your browser's cookies and localStorage. For anything else, email us — contact details below.

6. Children's Privacy

GameBeyond is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top. Significant changes will be noted on the homepage.
